Theodoros Studio
Theodoros Studio is housed in a building of 1990 which was designed by the sculptor himself and the architect Elias Gounaropoulos – especially for this purpose. It is located above the underground spring of Gargaretta in Koukaki just outside the ancient Themistoclean walls, in an area which for centuries served as a cemetery for the less privileged. Evidence of this past has been preserved in the building and the courtyards, keeping the history of ancient Athens alive.
Theodoros worked in this studio during the last decades of his life. The works that are currently displayed in the studio are mainly from the series Studies, Gates, Delphics, Manipulations, Balances, Atopa, and cover the most of his creative pathway from the mid 1950s to the 2010’s.
Theodoros Studio can be visited by individuals or groups up to 30 people by appointement.
It is also available for educational programs, courses, seminars, workshops, shows, photo shoots, exhibitions, presentations, business meetings and other corporate and private events.
